National Road Safety Week

On January 12, 2024, Maa Gayatri College of Pharmacy (MGCOP) celebrated "National Road Safety Week," observed from January 11 to 17, 2024, to promote road safety measures and prevent accidents. The program's inauguration began with the presentation of a floral bouquet and a warm welcome extended to Mr. Chandra Pal Singh, SI Prayagraj Uttar Pradesh Police Services, by Mrs. Pooja Dubey Upadhyay, Principal of MGIPPS, and Mrs. Manjula Srivastava, Principal of MGM.
During the event, SI Mr. Chandra Pal Singh educated the audience on essential road safety practices such as wearing seat belts, avoiding aggressive driving, using helmets, and refraining from drunk driving. Miss Jyoti, a lady police officer, also participated and provided training to female students on issues like eve-teasing and the importance of the 'Anti-Romeo Squad' in daily life. The program saw participation from all teaching and non-teaching staff members.
Additionally, 120 students from D. Pharma and B. Pharma took part in quiz competitions focused on road safety. The vote of thanks was delivered by Mr. Bhanu Pratap, Assistant Professor at MGCOP.
